Magic of Earth and Sky

This doesn’t really have anything to do with child development or parenting but it does have to do with me. Once upon a time, I wrote a YA novel. I was 18 years old. lol. I wrote it the summer between High School and College. Then, when I was a 20 year old junior, my roommate was in a editing class and needed a long manuscript to take all the way from the editing phase to a full printed and bound manuscript. So, I dug out my story, freshened it up a bit, fleshed it out, and now it’s available on Amazon Kindle. If you’re curious, give it a read and let me know what you think!

The wizards of Sky Magic have long shunned those of the lower “Dirt Magic.” Senga, a curious girl whose father is one of the most prestigious Sky Wizards, begins to question this long-standing prejudice as her eyes are opened to a world much broader than she ever imagined. Together with Iomhair, a talented young friend and magician from school, Senga finds herself entwined in a quest to discover the truth behind the magic, and, in the process, discovers much about her past, her potential, and her new feelings for Iomhair. Can Senga and Iomhair establish peace in a world torn with prejudice?
